Hi Everyone,
Welcome to week 3 of #cyberPD. It's hard to believe we are already in our final week for the event. This week we'll be reading and responding to chapters 6-7.
As in previous weeks, we're suggesting you post by Thursday to allow a few days to read and respond to the posts of other participants. We hope you will find time to comment on at least three posts to keep our community interactive. I know many of you have commented well beyond three and we thank you!
Last week I noticed some emerging conversations around digital literacy in our classrooms: connecting through Twitter in the classroom, building a reading history through book archiving (Biblionasium & Bookopolis), connecting through blogging, collaborative conversations using community boards, and ways to move toward authenticity. Lots of new ideas being considered.
Keep your calendars marked for:
Thursday, July 23rd at 10 am EST: Educators from Hilliard City Schools will be talking about #cyberPD . ALL participants are welcome to join.
Tuesday, July 28th at 8 pm EST: #cyberPD Final Group Chat (all participants)
If you have questions contact +Laura Komos, +Michelle Nero or me.
Thanks so much for being part of this community. I'm amazed every year by all I learn from this group.
Cathy
